My Favorite Smoothie Recipe for Metabolism

It’s simple, nutritious and so good!

MY SIMPLE SMOOTHIE RECIPE

  • ½ avocado (healthy fats to decrease inflammation!)

  • Handful of spinach (great source of magnesium for energy!)

  • 1 cup of frozen berries (berries are great for brain, gut and energy!)

  • ½ cup of unsweetened milk of choice (less for thicker smoothie, more for thinner)

  • 1 scoop of protein powder. Add this last so it doesn't get stuck (women rarely get enough protein in the day so this is a MUST!)

    BLEND WELL
    Then… pour into glass and squeeze fresh lemon juice for flavor and more nutrients! This is key for flavor!

    You can top with berries, granola or chia seeds to add a little extra :)

My Pro Tips:

  • Add protein powder last so it doesn’t stick to the bottom

  • Add spinach to any smoothie to add extra nutrients without major “green” flavor

  • Berries are the best for covering green flavor

  • Avocados or bananas will create a smooth, thicker texture

  • Squeeze lemon or lime AFTER blending for the best flavor
