The #1 thing I did to lose weight in a healthy way

I know you have been eating healthy for years. You have tried paleo, weight watchers and maybe even Whole30. You have tried to cut out gluten, sugar and don't even drink your favorite wine anymore. You also get your butt to the gym every day and still… the results are not there.

You are about to throw in the towel because what's the point when you work this hard, but get little to no results? I get it I've been there. I'll never forget the moment that I shimmied into my favorite red pants for work and as I tried to button them... there was a tug.  How could that be?? I'm eating healthy, I workout at least twice a day and I'm a DIETITIAN.... This made no sense, and I was determined to get to the bottom of it.

Well, turns out there was the ONE thing I was totally missing, even as a nutrition 'expert' was that I wasn't eating in a way that was helping my metabolism... I was actually HURTING it. Let me say that again: Even with everything I had learned in school, I was eating in a way that was hurting my metabolism not helping it thrive.

Let’s first back up and ask… how the heck did I know my metabolism was hurting?

1) I had gained weight and couldn’t lose it the same way I used to by eating less and moving more

2) I was SO exhuasted

3) My blood tests showed that my thyroid and adrenals were strugggggling hard, which was slowing my metabolism in a major way

So to reverse that, I had to:

  • Heal my metabolism by eating more 

  • Exercise smart

  • And get allll the right minerals and nutrients to put a fire in my metabolism. 

All things I discovered once I invested in functional lab testing. They were the game changer for me because they helped me find the ROOT CAUSE to my slow metabolism. From there I created a very specific strategy.

Oh, and that included eating cookies. Daily. Currently, vanilla wafers have a choke hold on me :) And this strategy got me results in my 20s after crash dieting for years and what I did to smoothly transition from pregnancy to postpartum.
